Strategic Alignment Scorecard

The Strategic Alignment Scorecard is a free diagnostic that measures how well your capability investment supports your strategic objectives. Pick your top three objectives, rate the five capabilities each one depends on, and get an alignment score per objective plus a gap analysis showing where to invest next.

What the tool does

Strategy fails in execution when the capabilities a strategy depends on are under-funded. The scorecard makes that visible: for each objective you choose, it knows which five capabilities matter most and how much investment each typically requires, then compares that against your self-rated current investment.

How it works

You choose exactly three strategic objectives from fifteen options — market growth, new products, cost reduction, digital transformation, M&A, ESG, and more. For each objective you rate five linked capabilities on a 1–5 investment scale. Each capability's gap (current minus required) is classified as Over-Invested, Well-Aligned, Under-Invested, or Critical Gap. Objective scores cap over-investment — pouring extra money into one capability cannot mask a critical gap in another — and the overall score averages your three objectives into a portfolio status from Strategically Aligned down to Significant Misalignment.

What you get

An instant on-screen alignment score (0–100) with per-objective breakdowns, and a free four-page PDF report by email with your top capability gaps, top strengths, strategic recommendations, and an executive summary. Takes 10–15 minutes.
